Paragraph two, last sentence should be this:
"However, I broke free from my demanding parents and have been very content living on my own, even though it may not be THAT luxurious or ideal."

Stupid typos. ;/

Typical Asian parents. They expect the world from their kids but won't lift a finger to help. You'd have an easy chance being hired ANYWHERE if you graduated from Yale, but no. Treating you like Cinderella somehow justifies killing such an opportunity that COULD make you more in the end. The general logic of Asian parents baffles me.

When I was young, I got accepted into dream universities too. My parents refused to help or accept because it was "too far away." This, despite them expecting to leech off of me when I grew up to be successful. I regret not being able to follow my dreams when I was young, due to inexperience and no support system. However, I broke free from my demanding parents and have been very content living my own, even though it may not THAT luxurious or ideal.

The good thing about college is that your parents will never know what classes you are taking. You could lie while continuing taking classes for the desired major. If they want proof, you're a graphic designer. You could easily screencap your schedule and forge Law classes into it.

If you're unsure about your major, you can always take general ed classes to get it over with. Also, some electives so you can poke around and discover yourself.

You have the knowledge, scholarships and support system to help you follow your dreams, Krazim. Do whatever you can for YOURSELF and not your parents.

I don't want to see you a slave to your parent's will, and living a resentful life as a result.

Now you know I don't normally care for music and you also know that I'm very shallow. However, I found myself stunned watching this video. I've watched the clip over 20 times because of how inspirational it is. Even Simon fell in love the second she sang. (Or it looked that way)

Susan Boyle is proof that people don't have to be young and dressed like a slut to sing well.
